Its December in Colorado, and as far as I’m concerned that means hot chocolate is in abundance.
Sitting here cuddled on the couch, with the Christmas tree light glowing, and the Broncos WINNING, I thought a cup of cocoa would top the day off.
I wanted something different than than normal packaged hot chocolate.
…And baker for that matter…
I’ve neglected my Tuesdays with Dorie group, and I need to get back with it and caught up!
I promise, I’m working on it….
Please stand by…
Rae Rae loves some bagels, so I was looking forward to this.
And then I forgot about them in the fridge for two days.
Like my pumpkin prop? -hehe
And then they burned, as I baked exactly as directed.
BUT, I’ll dust myself off and try again soon!
I also have a suggestion for Miss Dorie for her next book, put a note on the top of the recipe with the total mix/chill/rise/bake time….if I had known, I would have started this on a Sat and baking on Sunday, darn!!
Go see Heather at for the recipe as she was this weeks host. Thanks Heather!!
WOW….It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve blogged. It’s always bittersweet to take some time off of writing/blogging; bitter as I feel I have somewhat of an “obligation” to my site, and sweet, because I don’t have to worry about “having” to have something to post about…life’s decisions, right?!?!
This recipe of the Whole Wheat Bread was from Sept 18th, and to be honest, I didn’t bake this until last weekend. It was good, not great. For some reason or another I just cant seem to get my bread to rise and be nice and “fluffy”, I guess much like you would buy in the store. So, its always a bit on the dense side, but thats OK.
Go over and visit Michele from and for the recipe. These two lovely’s were this weeks host.
well, well, well….where do I start…..
