I found this recipe on Pinterest and KNEW I had to try them, I made them for a BBQ and since some gluten-free friends were going I made them to suite their dietary/allergy needs…couldnt tell any different too!!
What you’ll need:
5 cups Rice Chex (I used the Gluten Free)
1 1/2 cups cake mix – I hear yellow gives the best flavor, but the Soops (King Soopers) gluten-free selection was minimal, so I got GF white mix.
10 oz (5 squares) of white candy coating
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Sprinkles of your choice
What you’ll do:
~Place 5 cups of Chex in a large bowl one with a lid to make your life easy
~Melt candy coating until smooth (you can add 1 tsp veg shortening for thinner if desired – I did not add)
~Mix well
~In a separate bowl (or zip bag, if your Chex are in a bowl with no lid) add powdered sugar and cake mix, and sprinkles mix to combine
~Pour sugar/cake mix over candy coated Chex, (or pour Chex in the zip bag) place lid and shake, shake, shake
~Eat up, because these are amazing!
Enjoy…
